On Sex: Jung and Freud !
The works of Freud, has some very astounding findings, the human instinct and the correlation with the sexuality. Which clearly boggles the mind of every human being, its a very basic and the natural phenomenon. Which is also, backed up by the works of Maslow, where he explains that the human needs starts from his biology. But what Freud could not understand is that the finding does not end there, but starts there with. And that's what Carl Gustav Jung explains when he talks about the nature of human mind and the consciousness, from sexuality toward the higher self.
And this was magnificently explained in the book, "FROM SEX TO SALVATION", by Osho. But it seems that people are very ignorant, and they ignore the book only because it uses the word sex, and it gets the title of being vulgar. Next the way I have seen the fellow travelers of the unknown approaching the book with just the instinct of sexuality and walking the same path, overlooking the questions that simply comes after the human priority of sex. The journey seems to be ending there, and the cycle of monotony begins.
Freud, was just a scared person, reading his work and his life, one can see that he was not looking for truth but rather for the egoistic decision that he takes at majority of the times. He does not take part in the rationale beyond the complexity of sex. He brings the motives behind every human act, his dreams and even the life that he lives in the morale of sex. And we cant deny that human civilization is based on suppression of human feelings. Thats how the humanity has been brought up. So its simple that this suppression comes out through the different doors of human emotions, through the search that the human is in.
Jung, on the other hand could see that Freud, was fooling everyone with his convincing words, Jung was ready to be open to the understanding of the human existence, beyond the anatomy of human sexuality. The way he explains the phenomenon called life is very remarkable in a sense, very real. We can even see that in his words, when he says, "Your vision will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes".
We can simply explain Freud through the work of Jung, in all chaos there is a cosmos and in all disorder there is a secret order. And Freud always overlooked the order in the disorder. The transpersonal understanding that Jung, brings in his work shows that he was the greatest psychologist, of the generation. Not merely a person of observation but of wakefulness.
